Youth Leaders Camp , Vikings'11 !

Hello peeps! :D

If you've read my previous post, you should know that I'm back from camp - AN AWESOME ONE! (Y)

And sadly, you should also find out that my camera broke down on the very first day. T_T I think it really cannot tahan me already, KEEP DROPPING IT LIKE NO TOMORROW!!! >.< I'm soli~ Not purposely one la........................................ ;( MY CAMERA SO NOT FORGIVING ONE LO!!!

Okay, so all the pictures below are taken only on Day 1. I'll just summarize everything through these randomly taken pictures yea! ^^

This is Xinwen being crazy otw to Ngee Ann Poly.

I was super sad to go there at first, as I was forced to.............................. BUT I'M GLAD I WENT IN THE END!!! xD And the reason why I say this camp is different from the others is the people.

People there are all very initiative! :D Every single one of us take part in the cheers and everything without being told to, which means no forcing toooooooo! ;) You know some camps, where the leaders force people to do things and threaten them or something like that? I dont like that kind. D;

Totally not happening there yea! ;D

Another thing different is the cheers.

For this camp, all the cheers are different for every tribe! SPECIAL EH!!! XD We cheered so much until my throat is sore, gosh.......................... BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT YEA! Atmosphere is always high to the maximum!!! ^^ Luvluvluv ♥

Walau, even until now my ears still can hear those cheers. O_O

RETARD !!!

*Ahem* Soli for that rude interruption.

So, on the very first night, we have to come out with what we want to do for the camp finale! FAST EH?! :S The story line is something like this:

The Vikings (our tribe name) were once being separated into 2 groups because each both have very different idea of what they want to use for a dance competition, so they have a dance battle....................................

Aiyah, I'm too lazy to continue describing so just click this LINK to watch the whole video.

THE FIRST DANCE IS SORT OF CHOREOGRAPHED BY XINWEN AND ME YOU KNOW??!???!!?! XD Li hai eh? :p But credits still goes to Miss Leron! :)

We also went to an Outdoor Experiential Learning, which is something like an adventure park(?) With rock climbing and stuffs! I was damn high there! Keep wanting to try all the things! xD

There's this particular one that we need to jump from around 4-5 stories high! Took it another time BECAUSE IT WAS SO FREAKING FUN!!! When I jumped and landed, one of the instructors there say that I'm the scream of the day! :| ROFL

Xinwen who was right behind me told me that the person accompanying us up there say his ears hurt! HAHAHA! XD However, he gave me skittles the 2nd time I went up! LOL. Maybe he think like that then I wont scream so loud. :B

I also go for the rock climbing, which only a few of us have to change to due to time constrain. :( Xinwen say I climb quite fast yea! :D Quite hard though its my 2nd time climbing already. My hands were shaking due to lack of strength! :| WTF! :<

The outside of Ngee Ann Poly.

Was so big that the bus driver have to turn one big round so that he can get to the other gate! IMAGINE THAT. 80+ blocks okay, mai siao siao! :S

When we first entered, there was no difference from the outside AT ALL. Because all the apartments are just like any other HDB flats! O.O We were kind of confused whether which is inside or outside. EVEN THE LIFTS LOOKS THE SAME!!!

I spot Xinyi smiling to my camera~ :p

This is the living room of our apartment.

No tv though, I think they want us to sleep early so that we can be more awake the next day? Rooms were great anyway! So who cares. :p

I dont know why there's a kewt little soft toy there. :S Maybe some people arrived early than us? SPOTTED THE WATER BOTTLE TOO!!

There's nothing much on the first day, just having workshops after workshops. :( But Coach Dominic was a great talker/ entertainer, so its quite fun actually! ^^ Thought that it might be boring initially! ._.

On the 2nd day, other than the Outdoor Experiential Learning, we also have Dialogue in the Dark! WHICH WAS AWESOME!!! (Y)

We get into a really really dark room until you cannot see anything AT ALL. Its like as though you're closing your eyes. YES, thats the purpose! They want us to feel how it is like to be blind, so we can help them when we see them! :)

In the room, we were to use our left hand to hold the shoulder of the person infront of you and the right hand to hold a stick that blind people (soli I cannot find a better word for this) uses. We were then led by a very professional blind person.

Ours was a female, who have a very sweet voice and quite good-looking too (I know that because I caught a glimpse of her when she led us out of the door). Its really a pity that she's blind. :(

But through the whole journey inside the room, the voice talking to us and leading us, doesnt sound like a blind person. She's blind but not lost. And as for us, who are not blind, were lost. And we're the one following her, depending on her. That's why I was saying she's really professional! ;D

So next time when you see a blindman/ women on the train, do give up your sit for him/ her. And dont pull away their stick or pull them or just simply say here here here. Just gently hold their elbow areas and slowly lead them. :)

This is where all our workshops and our camp finale were held.

I got to know lots of friends there, really happy I did go in the end! ^^ Haha. I dont know how many times I have to repeat this, but really lucky eh! :B

We're even planning an outing already! O.O VIKINGS FTW!!! (Y)

Last but not least, the food there were SUPERRRRRRRRRR GREAT TOO! XD Thumbs up! :)

Oh yes! I almost forget to say that all the workshops were filled with games and activities, which is one of the many reasons why we were really entertained! :D Before I went, I really thought that its going to be talking talking and more talking. Boring stuffs like that. BUT NO WAY!!!!

This is the drawing that we think of when we think of leaders.

The lion represent.......................... something that I have forgotten. ._. The patch at the right eye represents pirate captian, and on the shirt writes "I'm Obama".

Hehe. All my answers were super short cos I dont know what to write. ._.
